My day started off nicely. I decided to wear my cat cap and a pretty classic top to go with it. It's not the full cat outfit, but sometimes one must compromise.
I soon ran across Clyde, who gave me a present. He said his mom told him that he should share his care package from home with his friends. Isn't he sweet?
After Clyde left to share the rest of his goodies with Mythwood, I set about to find fossils and other such things. I found a few gyroids in the loose ground.
Then I found another of those wondrous magical mushrooms! I also cleaned out a few weeds so the grass wouldn't be choked.
I was cold by then, so I thought I'd stop by the museum and have a cup of coffee at the Roost. As usual Brewster was there, and fixed me the cup. He insists everyone drink it hot, and I nearly always burn my poor tongue. However, I don't wish to be rude, so as usual I find some words to compliment him. Besides which, on this cold a day, one doesn't mind a warm drink even if it is ... coffee.
Directly after leaving the museum Poncho stopped to tell me how excited he was about the upcoming holiday. Apparently he particularly likes feasting days. I find this slightly odd given that he's normally such a health conscious bear cub, but everyone has their vice's I suppose, I know I do. At any rate, who was I to say anything negative? He's was, in fact, so exhuberant about it that I got excited myself!
I decided to go fishing to relax. That endeavor, however, was ruined by my catch of the day.
Who in the world dumps such awful things into the river? I now have to watch more carefully to ensure that the fish aren't adversely affected by such things!
Shortly after finding that awful tire in the river, I got stung by a bee. I went home to put a poltice on it, but discovered I was out of ingredients, so I headed off to see the Wellness Willow.
She told me I had to take off my cat cap so she could bandage my eye. I decided that now was the perfect time to try on my top hat! While I was searching the hidey-hole for the top hat I discovered that I had enough in the way of bells to pay off my mortgage to Nook, so I went to town hall and paid it. This sort of thing calls for a celebration, don't you think? Apparently Pelly thought so, because she clapped and congratulated me heartily before I left the building!
On my way home I met Pate, and Maelle. Pate just couldn't resist saying something awful to me, as usual!
My face may be unreal at the moment, Pate, but it's just not nice to point it out! I was sort of bummed after that encounter, but as usual my buddy Poncho took notice and came to make me feel better. I really do love that bear!
