Post [C2 KB] Graveyard does not register converted C1 Norns
Graveyard does not register converted C1 Norns
Issue: Graveyard does not allow registration of Norns converted from the original Creatures.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Analysis: This is because the genus stored in the genome is actually different to the genome stored in the “Classifier” and the “creature register”. The Nornverter reads the C1 genome, and transfers certain details like gender, genus, and moniker to an appropriate Creatures 2 creature template. In the genome the genus for a Norn is 0, but in the “classifier” and “creature register” which Creatures 2 uses to get genus information it is 1.When the C2 Norn template is updated with the genus read from the C1 genome, Creatures 2 doesn’t recognise the zero genus hence the ‘?’ in the chronicles. The Funeral Kit fails to notice that a Norn has died since the creature does not have the Norn genus 1.

Resolution: The updated executable 1.0.38 that is available in the Downloads section.
