What does Autokill mean?
Issue: A player wanted to know what Autokill means. Many Creatures 3 and Creatures Adventures players may have noticed the words Autokill in the either the Task manager when you press Alt+Ctrl+Delete or if you play in Windowed mode, the words Autokill appear in the top border of the window.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Analysis: Autokill is an error trapping facility in Creatures 3. The Autokill option essentially kills off any agent which can potentially cause problems for the main engine.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Resolution: Autokill removes any problematic agents from the game before they can cause any errors. Any errors that occur is written to a log file in the Creatures 3 main directory (the file is called creatures_engine_logfile.txt). If Autokill is turned off and the game encounters an error, a dialogue box appears awaiting user imput and the game will stop playing. If you have left the machine for a long time hoping for an interesting wolfing run experiment, you may be annoyed to find that an error occured over some small detail and the game stopped playing half an hour after you left, so it is recommended that this feature remain turned on.
